Mental Health Support Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in supporting defendants with mental health issues to access community treatment options, diverting them from the Criminal Justice System. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to assessments, risk assessments, and recommendations for patient care and diversion decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Local Court Magistrate in diverting defendants into community treatment where appropriate.
- Work within the Statewide Community and Court Liaison Service (SCCLS) to support mental health evaluations in Local Courts across NSW.
- A postgraduate qualification in mental health.
- A current NSW Drivers Licence.
This is a chance to work with a dedicated team providing mental health support in Local Courts across NSW. The SCCLS is expanding to include 58 local courts, offering opportunities for career progression and skill-set development.
Our Team:The SCCLS delivers mental health support in Local Courts across NSW.
