Senior National HR Strategist

This senior role is responsible for driving the human resources strategy across a national business. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the HR function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in human resources, industrial relations, and union engagement. They will be skilled in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.
About the RoleThis position reports directly to [senior leadership] and is responsible for leading a team of professionals. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities- HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with business objectives.
- Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate employment agreements, manage industrial relations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Qualifications: Diploma, degree, or MBA in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–10 years' experience in human resources, ideally with leadership exposure.
- Skillset: Strong knowledge of industrial relations, EBAs, and union engagement.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong reporting and presentation skills.
