About the Role and Team
We are seeking a Corporate Lawyer to join our Energy and Resources section in Perth.
Our team has over 65 members nationally, known for its business insight and legal expertise both nationally and internationally. We provide clients with commercially focused legal advice on all aspects of corporate law and regulation affecting public and private companies and management teams.
Our expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, commercial contracting, compliance, intellectual property, and privacy.
This role involves working directly with a highly experienced Partner and a team of corporate lawyers and Partners across the country.
Responsibilities include:
- Mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
- Equity capital markets (ECM) transactions
- Joint ventures, offtake, and farm-ins
- Regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance advice
- General commercial work
About You
You will ideally have:
- 2-4 years of post-admission experience in a corporate law practice
- Experience in the energy and resources sector, including knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Experience in corporate/commercial law, including drafting transaction documents and assisting with due diligences
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, research, and communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- A passion for contributing to the growth of our corporate practice both in Perth and nationally
- A team-player attitude with the ability to work independently within a supportive environment
