About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Services Assistant to join our team at Monash Health. As a key member of our Food Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient meal experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the production of meals, following standard recipes and ensuring high-quality food and nutrition for our patients.
  • Contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment, adhering to Department of Health Food Service standards.
  • Deliver, distribute, and collect all smartpak meal requirements, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program and maintain accurate food safety documentation.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

Current Food Safety qualification (essential)Relevant food services certificate (minimum HLTFSE001 - Follow basic food safety practices) (essential)Qualification in HACCP procedures and quality management systems (essential)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work proactively with a cohesive team and on your own to complete daily tasksTime management skills and the ability to prioritize tasksTakes pride in your work with attention to detailA strong understanding of food safetyAbility to undertake physical work, including lifting, carrying, and manual handlingBasic to moderate computer skills
