Lead Paint Roto Artist

We are seeking a skilled Lead Paint & Roto Artist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of experience working on feature film VFX projects, with strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.

Job Description
  • Assist the Producer, CG Supervisors & Production Managers with bidding and scheduling.
  • Attend Dailies and follow up with the team regarding their notes, fixes, etc.
  • Attend production meetings, assign shots to appropriate artists, provide clear direction and prioritize tasks for the crew.
  • Motivate and empower the team to meet deadlines, identify problems and effectively implement solutions.
  • Quality control elements delivered to compositors, fast and efficient paint/roto on complex shots as needed or time allows.
  • Interview and review potential candidates when required.
  • Mentor less experienced artists.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical and leadership skills, including:

  • Nuke experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Strong communication skills with artists, supervisors, and managers.
  • Strong time management skills in delivering shots.
  • Solid organizational skills for prioritizing shot task requests.
  • Team player who takes direction well.
  • Dependable under pressure with attention to detail.
