Job Description

A typical day as a Senior Property Underwriter may involve:

  • Building strong relationships with key trading partners to deliver high-quality service.
  • Developing and implementing portfolio management strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Providing customer-centric insights and risk management solutions to enhance scheme business outcomes.
  • Fostering collaboration and alignment across the team to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Participating in industry forums and staying up-to-date with trends, best practices, and underwriting ethos.
  • Pursuing ad-hoc projects to add value and drive innovation across the organization.

To succeed as a Senior Property Underwriter, you will have demonstrated expertise in managing complex risks, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and planning for peak periods. You will also possess a keen interest in analytics, policy wording critique, and collaboration within a national team located across multiple locations. Additionally, you will have a desire to mentor and guide less experienced underwriters to help them develop their skills and expertise, as well as an interest in learning new skills that may lead to future product management opportunities.
