The Operational Capability Officer plays a pivotal role in enhancing the State Emergency Service (SES) groups' preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for SES volunteers to boost their operational capability.
- Collaborate with regional teams to design area-based development programs.
- Contribute to research initiatives that improve SES operational efficiency.
- Assist with equipment audits across the Emergency Service Volunteers Division as required.
- Identify and resolve operational capability issues.
- Maintain accurate records of training data and provide reports to stakeholders.
- Liaise with local SES units, emergency services staff, and external partners to identify training needs.
- Support SES operations during emergencies and disasters, including deployments to rural and remote areas.
