Job Overview

The Team Leader Civil Maintenance role is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for leading a team that delivers Road Pavement maintenance, Street sweeping and unsealed footpath replacement, among other Civil related works.

This key leadership position involves:

  • Developing and setting work programs to drive efficiency and productivity
  • Supporting field officers in delivering exceptional services to the community
  • Collaborating with the team, field services team leaders, and stakeholders to enhance work practices and procedures
  • Embedding workplace health and safety into daily operations
  • Maintaining regular monitoring of program/project budgets with updates provided to corporate leaders
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve team objectives and implement agreed values and behaviors
  • Leading recruitment and onboarding processes in accordance with established procedures
  • Fostering a culture of safety-first accountability

Key Requirements:

  • Accreditation for Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) / Work Zone Traffic Management (WZTM) or TTM non-practitioner
  • Accreditation for Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
  • Current South Australian Class C Driver's Licence
  • Certificate in Leadership or related discipline
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to inspire and motivate the team
  • Promoting a collaborative environment that encourages team input and collective problem-solving
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining processes for maximum efficiency
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to build positive relationships internally and externally
