This role involves working as a skilled Technical Designer, utilizing your expertise to create detailed 3D models, drawings and bills of materials for fabricated products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create project drawings including layouts and interface drawings with other disciplines
  • Integrate 2D and 3D models from different equipment obtained from suppliers into overall systems by using computer-aided design and building information modeling tools.
  • Support the sales team with preliminary drawings for tenders.
  • Review drawings and material lists produced by overseas suppliers and identify potential gaps with locally available materials or local standards.
  • Collaborate to modify overseas designs, drawings and bills of materials to close these gaps.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar technical role is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and structural engineering principles and Australian and international standards.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD and Inventor. Experience with Revit or PTC CREO is also considered beneficial.
  • Familiarity with building information modeling interfaces in infrastructure projects.
  • Capability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
