About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced journalist to join our WIN News team in Canberra. As a regional news reporter, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your market and report on a wide range of stories, from environment and sport to politics and community issues.
You will work closely with our editors and camera operators to produce high-quality news stories for our weekday bulletins. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm.
Key Responsibilities- Research and compile news stories for our weekday bulletins
- Liaise with editors and camera operators to ensure timely and high-quality production
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of local, national, and international news stories affecting the community
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our news goals
- Meet deadlines through effective time management and organization
