A challenging role has become available for an Investigative Journalist to join the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's 7.30 team in Canberra.
We are seeking a skilled journalist with exceptional writing and storytelling abilities to deliver in-depth coverage of the Australian political landscape. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian politics, be able to identify newsworthy angles and possess a keen eye for detail.
This is an opportunity to shape the national conversation and hold those in power accountable through investigative journalism. You will work alongside a talented group of journalists and researchers to produce hard-hitting, award-winning content. Your responsibilities will include researching story material, identifying suitable sources, and conducting thorough investigations.
The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and impartiality. A salary of $100,000 - $123,000 per annum, depending on experience, will be offered to the right candidate. In addition, you can expect a range of benefits including paid parental leave, carer's leave and supporting partner leave, as well as salary packaging and ABC mentoring opportunities.
