As a key member of our Maintenance Team at the Northshore Mineral Sand Plant in Bunbury, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

The position is offered on a permanent basis with a 9 day fortnight roster, working 38 hours per week. This includes a compressed schedule with every second Friday off.

About the Job

  • You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment, pumps, piping, compressors, elevators, and conveyor equipment.
  • With a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, you will identify and report defects, suggesting improvements to existing plant equipment and procedures.
  • You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to ensure the highest standard of workmanship is maintained at all times.
  • Highly committed to a positive safety culture, you will actively participate in hazard identification and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with operators and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • You will also be required to assist operators as needed, including preparing and isolating equipment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Mechanical Trade Certificate - Fitting (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical Maintainer role, including experience with Process Plants, Pumps, Structural, Mechanical and Piping works within the Mining industry (highly desired)
  • Current C Class Drivers' Licence unrestricted (essential)
  • Experience in fault finding and repairs to hydraulic systems
  • Team orientated approach to your work, while possessing the ability to work independently if required

Salary and Benefits

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits and eligibility to participate in the Tronox bonus scheme.
