Cts People, a leading truck dealership in Bunbury, is seeking a talented Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a valued member of our workshop, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of diesel engines and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

We offer a highly competitive salary package, including:

  • A base salary of AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Truck Mechanic
  • Appropriate trade certification
  • Experience with Japanese trucks (highly regarded)
  • A background in diesel mechanics
  • HR Licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong time management, organisational, and collaboration skills
  • A high degree of integrity and attention to detail
  • A commitment to health and safety
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport
  • Experience mentoring and coaching apprentices

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Inspecting and repairing vehicles with diesel engines
  • Handling routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
  • Accurately interpreting diagnostic test results
  • Writing detailed inspection reports and repair plans
  • Training and mentoring trainees and apprentices
  • Collaborating with other diesel mechanics
  • Submitting reports and plans for approval to customers
  • Advising customers on repair options and costs
  • Conducting test drives to ensure proper functionality
  • Safely using electricity, machinery, and hand tools
  • Adhering to all workshop rules, standards, and health & safety regulations
