Our client is a global leader in automation and robotics employing over 7,500 people worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team of professionals.
Job Summary
This role involves performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless operation of the site and enhance customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment.
- Perform daily system audits to identify potential issues.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies to maintain efficiency.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs and component replacements to extend equipment lifespan.
- Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.
- Compile monthly management reports for distribution.
- Manage on-site spare parts, including regular stock-taking and ordering according to company procedures.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating with team members and other departments.
- Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop area.
- Adhere to Australian OH&S regulations and company policies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification in electrical/mechanical disciplines.
- A recognised mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- A valid driver's license.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
