Long-term Role for Mechanical Fitter

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in a great long-term role with real potential to go permanent quickly. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be safety-focused, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision fitting, assembly and disassembly of Exciters (heavy mechanical vibratory units)
  • Refurbishment of existing Exciter machines
  • Working from technical drawings and engineering specs
  • Use of tools like torque wrenches, presses, micrometers, dial indicators
  • Following strict safety and quality control processes
  • Closely collaborating with skilled tradespeople in a high-performing team

The ideal candidate will have experience in gearbox assembly, rotating equipment or precision fitting, and possess a Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter background.

Requirements:
  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
  • Experience in gearbox assembly, rotating equipment or precision fitting
  • Reliable and punctual with a proactive work ethic
  • Own transport is essential
  • Forklift ticket preferred
