
Mental Health Specialist

The Mental Health Virtual Care Centre (MHVCC) is a district-wide service delivering time-limited, evidence-based mental health rehabilitation through a flexible mix of virtual and face-to-face care.
This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, tailored interventions, and collaborative care planning in line with the NICE Guidelines for Mental Health Rehabilitation for a low-volume caseload of participants.
As a skilled multidisciplinary team member, you will work on a part-time basis (0.4 FTE), collaborating with occupational therapy, nursing, and peer support specialists.
About the Role- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating virtual and face-to-face care modalities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, prioritizing participant needs and well-being.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols and guidelines, including the NICE Guidelines for Mental Health Rehabilitation.
- Registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
