Job Role:

The Fleet Allocator plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of daily deliveries across local and regional routes, leveraging both subcontractors and contract carriers to ensure customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

  • Develop and implement delivery plans that balance efficiency with cost-effectiveness, ensuring on-time arrival and minimizing delays
  • Schedule additional transportation as needed to meet changing demands
  • Provide manifest and documentation to dispatching depots, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Collaborate with depot supervisors and team leaders to optimize loading schedules and ensure timely departures
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, hazards, and non-compliance issues promptly
  • Analyze and address service and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary
  • Maintain strict adherence to statutory and company regulations, ensuring runs are compliant and up-to-date
  • Complete critical tasks within Transport Management System timelines

This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (desired)
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems effectively
  • General knowledge of road networks and major routes across South Australia

In addition to providing proof of work authorization and suitable professional references, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination and national police check.
