Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and interventions for young people and their families
  • Design and facilitate group wellbeing programs, activities and events that promote mental health and resilience
  • Engage with young people through various channels, including outreach and community-based initiatives
  • Built effective relationships with local service providers and stakeholders to ensure seamless support for clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as clinical psychology, social work or youth work
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of complexity
  • Able to provide clinical intake and assessment services to young people and their families
  • Familiarity with youth program facilitation and coordination principles
