Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Strategist to join our AWS Public Sector Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving financial strategy and optimizing investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key finance partner to the Australia and New Zealand Public Sector Sales teams, collaborating across executive leadership to analyze inputs and outputs, assess business performance, and optimize asset allocation.
  • Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program- and portfolio-level revenue, profit, and ROI impacts.
  • Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support day-to-day decision making.
  • Engage and influence across the AWS Sales, Finance, and Operations hierarchy, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customer's experience, achieve common goals, and monitor risks.
  • Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in our CBD office (with flexible work arrangements). We offer a competitive remuneration package, including participation in the company stock plan, subsidized private health insurance, superannuation, and paid parental leave options.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience, advanced proficiency in Excel, and a strong understanding of key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and process improvements.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per annum
