About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Royal Rehab. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, manual handling, transportation, and community participation.
  • Preserve the dignity and privacy of clients while providing personal care and personal administration.
  • Provide person-centered support and utilize a recovery-focused approach to support clients to achieve their goals.
  • Utilize effective communication skills when interacting with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively within a team environment, unsupervised, and working individually to support the needs of our clients.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to work within Royal Rehab's value-based framework upholding the values of honesty, respect, working together, and innovative thinking.
  • Robust understanding of the Disability Standards and the ability to translate these standards into practice.
