The Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial System Analyst to join our Finance business unit on a fixed-term contract basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial systems, including models that play a critical role in supporting liability and capital valuations, embedded value, and business planning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance models to align with defined requirements;
  • Integrate regulatory interpretations and recommendations from external advisors;
  • Optimise model point files;
  • Standardise key modelling methodologies across various models;
  • Prepare model design documents based on project/user requirements;
  • Perform technical review of design documents against project/user requirements and coding standards;
  • Analyse and specify data requirements for model inputs;
  • Modify data flow processes to maintain system integration points in line with model changes;
  • Contribute to the design and build of a results database for model output that meets end-user reporting requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary degree in a financial discipline (Actuarial);
  • Knowledge and experience with Prophet (programming language and software operation);
  • Strong technical skills in programming and data analysis;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
