Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our team as an Operational Risk Manager, Investment Banking. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for providing 2nd line risk oversight and insight over business activities in the GTS Value Chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide independent Line 2 advice and oversight of the effectiveness of the business' operational risk management practices.
- Lead thematic analysis across risks, providing specialist guidance from these reviews.
- Provide the business with insights into emerging risks arising from potential changes in business strategy, thematic reviews of internal events, key external learnings, or changes in inherent risk environment.
- Challenge and oversee business transformation initiatives, whether product or project driven, to ensure that risks arising through change are adequately controlled.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of operational risk experience within a financial institution, in any investment banking or financial services role.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of investment banking activity and associated front to back processes.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing business stakeholders, strategic thinking, and prioritisation.
- Relevant industry qualifications desired.
- Change execution risk and project transformation experience desirable.
