Workday Functional Consultant Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Workday Functional Consultant, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration of multiple Workday interfaces, including issue analysis, testing, and coordination with third-party systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent resolutions for recurring issues.
  • Participate in the planning, testing, and rollout of Workday bi-annual releases, ensuring compatibility and feature adoption.
  • Maintain up-to-date support documentation and SOPs related to Workday modules and processes.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Workday support and track resolutions as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in service management and automation.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM.
  • Deep understanding of Workday HCM functional modules.
  • Proven experience with Service Management disciplines, including Incident, Problem, Service Request Management, Minor enhancements & Release Management, Regression Testing, and Application Monitoring.
  • Experience with support tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
  • Workday certification(s) in any relevant module.
  • Exposure to Workday Finance, Adaptive Planning, and Workday Help modules is desirable.
  • Experience in working with third-party systems and integrated environments.
