We are seeking a meticulous and creative Content Editor to join our dynamic team at News Corp Australia. In this role, you'll ensure that all content meets our high standards of excellence and aligns with the clients' voice and style requirements. You will work across multiple brands and formats, including print, digital content, social media, advertising campaigns, and client pitch documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sub-edit and fact-check content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality.
  • Edit for style, tone, and best practices across various channels (print, digital, social, marketing materials).
  • Write and edit copy, including SEO optimization where required.
  • Create engaging headlines, introductions, and captions.
  • Copy-fit layouts and liaise with contributors and stakeholders to verify content.
  • Incorporate client feedback and assist in final content checks before publication.
  • Meet project deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure the project management platform is up-to-date.
  • Upload content to client approval platforms and manage the approval process.
  • Maintain and adhere to style guides for regular clients.

Requirements

  • Exceptional sub-editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple style guides and deadlines across various brands and platforms.
  • Proven experience, ideally in both print and digital content creation, including writing and top-editing.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and digital performance optimization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Genuine intention to exceed client expectations and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative around project management and pro-actively problem solves
  • Thorough and methodical approach to tasks.
  • High level of attention to detail.
