Job Title: Communications Expertise Specialist

Overview

We seek a skilled Communications Expertise Specialist to contribute to engineering projects in the communications domain. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, system engineering input, and support activities in VHF communications, with additional support for UHF and HF domains as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and system engineering input on engineering projects in the communications domain.
  • Support activities in the VHF communications domain, with additional support for UHF and HF domains as required.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 7 years' experience applying Systems Engineering processes to complex systems across multiple industries.
  • Experience designing, maintaining, and supporting systems in the communications domains (VHF, UHF, HF).
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the relevant area of engineering.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Prior experience with aviation Safety Management Systems is desirable.
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance (existing clearance is an advantage).
