As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be part of a high-performing agile development team, responsible for ensuring the quality of our cloud banking solutions. Your strong background in software testing and automation will enable you to plan, execute, and coordinate testing efforts, identifying and resolving quality issues and defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with agile teams to ensure timely and valuable feedback on user stories
- Develop and maintain detailed, well-structured Test Plans
- Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects
- Create and configure test environments
- Identify, document, and thoroughly test bugs
- Perform thorough testing when bugs are resolved
- Derive and create thorough test cases and scenarios
- Translate requirements and stories to test scenarios, ensuring test coverage and enhancing product quality
- Work with product owners and product managers to maintain and prioritize product backlogs
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint stand-ups, planning, review, and retrospective, ensuring testing requirements are met
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria for stories to deliver high-quality products
- Review test cases and scenarios with product teams to cover requirements 100% and add additional test cases as recommended
- Ensure QA standards and guidelines are adhered to, and testing commitments are met
- Escalate outstanding issues and testing risks to the QA Lead or Manager
- Identify opportunities to help management improve QA practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- 2+ years of experience in software QA, test cases, and management, defect management tools, and software development processes
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies
- Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience with code-based testing frameworks
- Hands-on experience with automation testing tools
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, delegate, and control work
- Good decision-making skills, and self-administrative skills
- Strong analytical skills, ability to diagnose problems, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions
- Proven ability to handle various tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of test automation and frameworks, and where best to automate
- Experience in Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience using the application
- Experience with performance and security testing
- Experience working in an agile development process
- Team-oriented but able to work autonomously
