Job Description:

At our organisation, we're seeking an experienced Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Architect to drive digital identity strategy, solution design, and implementation for a major enterprise environment.

This hands-on, high-impact role will see you shape how identity and access management is delivered across multiple business lines and digital channels. You'll define and maintain the overall Customer Identity Management strategy and roadmap, ensuring it supports all digital channels – including retail, staff, consumer, wholesale, and enterprise audiences.

You'll lead initiatives to deploy new capabilities and reference architectures that enable rapid digital transformation, providing frameworks and guidance required for secure and scalable solutions. Thought leadership in the areas of identity platforms, authentication best practices, and emerging trends will also be essential in helping us stay ahead of evolving technology and security standards.

A critical part of this role will be evaluating existing and potential new digital solutions, creating rollout plans, and ensuring implemented solutions remain relevant, secure, and aligned with business needs. Collaboration will be at the core of this role, working closely with solution architects, security specialists, and delivery teams to coordinate design activities across multiple projects with differing priorities and dependencies.

You'll be hands-on in producing high-quality design artifacts and guide implementing teams by reviewing detailed technical designs. Operating in a fast-paced, agile ecosystem, you'll need to adapt quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on delivering robust and effective identity solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We're looking for someone with proven experience as a CIAM Architect or Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments. Strong hands-on expertise with identity management platforms (ForgeRock, Okta, Ping Identity, Auth0, Azure AD B2C) is essential. Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2) is also required.

Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities is crucial. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
