Job Description:

Senior Audio/Video Development Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio/Video Development Lead to join our team at Dolby Laboratories. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative audio/video capture, playback, and streaming applications and libraries for iOS and Android platforms.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality audio/video capture, playback, and streaming applications and libraries for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver SDKs that meet the requirements of our customers.
  • Design and implement software architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure the quality of our applications and libraries.
  • Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects.
  • Document requirements, software manuals, and test procedures.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.


Requirements:

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of commercial experience developing native iOS and/or Android apps.
  • Proficiency in iOS and/or Android Media frameworks.
  • Experience using Xcode and Android Studio, programming in Swift, Java, Kotlin, C/C++.
  • Familiarity with JSON and REST-based APIs for mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of clean architecture and design patterns.
  • Ability to understand and contribute to SDK product needs and requirements.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.


Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $175,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
