Empower New Learner Drivers with a Driver's Licence

As a driving instructor, you will play a vital part in empowering new learner drivers in the Hedland community with the skills and confidence to obtain a driver's licence.

Your key responsibilities
  • Instruct learner drivers for C & CA Class licences using dual-control vehicles.
  • Assist clients with pre-test practice and preparation.
  • Conduct driving sessions across the wider Hedland region (Port & South Hedland).
  • Update client files and lesson records with clear and accurate notes.
  • Participate in monthly supervision sessions with a growth mindset.
  • Deliver service reports and contribute to community engagement activities.
  • Liaise with local groups and attend events as required.
  • Ensure training vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and maintained.
  • Support outreach activities in surrounding towns, including Tom Price and Newman.
About you
  • You hold a current C-Class Driver's Licence, held for a minimum of 5 years.
  • You have obtained National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check or are willing to obtain one.
  • You can pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • You hold a Senior First Aid Certificate or are willing to obtain one.
Your benefits
  • You earn a competitive salary ranging from $40 to $43 per hour PLUS Super.
  • You may be eligible for subsidised accommodation for the first 3 months.
  • You receive 6 weeks of annual leave.

  • You may be eligible for return airfare reimbursement up to $600 per person (for up to 4 family members) after 12 months of service.
