Aerospace Medicine Specialist/Flight Surgeon

This role is a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to make a meaningful impact in the field of aerospace medicine.

As an Aerospace Medicine Specialist/Flight Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing primary care to pilots and crew members, conducting medical examinations, and determining fitness for flying duties. You will also participate in flying missions to observe and advise on aeromedical issues, develop and manage preventive medicine programs, and establish procedures for managing casualties in aviation accidents.

To be eligible for this position, you must have a degree in medicine (M.D. or D.O.) and completed an accredited program of postgraduate specialty training. Additionally, you must hold a current, active, permanent, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state or territory of the United States or in the District of Columbia. You must also possess an aeronautical rating of Flight Surgeon, Senior Flight Surgeon, or Chief Flight Surgeon.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a flight surgeon and board eligibility in aerospace medicine. You will also need to complete Commissioned Officer training course and be willing to relocate. Responsibilities:
