Job Title: Flooring Installation Specialist

The successful candidate will assist in the installation of various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient floor coverings. Key responsibilities include measuring, cutting, and installing underlay and underpadding, preparing comprehensive flooring plans, and conducting thorough moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.

Key Tasks:
  • Determine work requirements by analyzing blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding with precision
  • Develop and implement effective flooring plans and scheduling systems
  • Install high-quality carpeting on floors, walls, or other surfaces
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as knee kickers to stretch carpeting
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations with attention to detail
  • Install outdoor carpets and materials on counter tops and raised platforms
Requirements:
  • Completion of secondary (high) school education
  • Valid driver's license for transportation purposes
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks with ease
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and colour vision skills
