Job Summary:

The role of Contracts Manager is a critical position that plays a vital part in ensuring the seamless transition and operations of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at an airport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the transition to a new BHS contract, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Direct the implementation and integration of system upgrades and changes throughout the fixed-term period.
  • Maintain operational readiness and ensured optimal system performance during all phases of the transition.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership, Airport Operations and Project Teams, and Airport Client Representatives to ensure effective communication and strategic alignment.
  • Proactively identify and address risks related to transitional operations and project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day operational support to the Port Manager, fostering continuity and performance.
  • Ensure regular communication with the onsite team to align activities with project timelines, quality expectations, and contractual requirements.
  • Facilitate weekly status meetings with the client and Senior Leadership, delivering updates, addressing issues, and aligning priorities.
  • Deliver clear, consistent reporting on progress, challenges, and outcomes to all key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Health & Safety Certification or equivalent knowledge of safety compliance in operational environments.
  • 5+ years in airport, logistics, or infrastructure project environments, with direct experience in managing transitions or complex system implementations.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and client representatives.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong track record of successful project delivery, including operational handover and coordination with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
  • Experience in spare parts management and operational planning, ideally within a high-value inventory environment.
