We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Teacher to join our team at St Bernard's College.
About the RoleThe Learning Support Teacher will be responsible for ensuring that our learning and teaching programs are contemporary, rigorous, engaging, and reflect our vision and values. This will involve implementing the College's programs that support students with additional needs, assisting with the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process, and providing effective support for Learning Diversity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the College's programs that support students with additional needs, including learning, social-emotional, physical, or other.
- Assist with the College's response to the NCCD process.
- Provide effective, accurate, and comprehensive support for all aspects of Learning Diversity initiatives.
- Deliver targeted interventions in the literacy and numeracy areas, such as MultiLit and GRIN (Getting Ready in Numeracy).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment, to the EREA Catholic Secondary School.
- Demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of the St Bernard's College's Vision and Mission Statement and the values that underpin it.
- Show the capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking, and innovation.
- Be an exemplary teacher.
- Postgraduate qualifications and experience in the area of differentiated learning.
- Have knowledge and expertise in a range of subject areas across the Victorian Curriculum F-10.
- Have proven organisational skills.
- Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and from varying backgrounds.
- Have displayed a commitment to teamwork.
- Have a proven capacity to work independently and effectively in the face of changing priorities, deadlines, and pressures.
