As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be part of a high-performing team creating innovative technologies for the mining and material movement sectors.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks. Define and review test cases and test plans for in-Sprint testing as well as customer UAT. Design and implement automated tests that leverage the framework. Provide support and integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines.
- Promote a culture of quality within the development team. Identify opportunities to apply automation to achieve process or product improvement. Interface with product management/owners and developers to define and improve requirements and automated and manual test cases.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in software and test automation development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and at least one other programming language.
- Experience in the BDD style of developing test automation.
- Ability to analyze system requirements and create testing strategies and test cases to verify those requirements.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
About This Role
- You will have the opportunity to work on complex systems comprised of edge and cloud computing elements, sensing and sensor processing communicating using fixed and wireless networks.
- Develop test automation for live cloud-based products that constantly update to provide higher quality and new features.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
