We are seeking a Security Technology Specialist to support our critical security technology infrastructure during an exciting period of transformation.

This pivotal role plays a key part in ensuring the safety and security of Melbourne Airport's terminal, particularly with the roll-out of the new Security Screening Project (SSP).

As a Security Technology Specialist, you will be integral to the successful integration of new screening technologies, providing hands-on support for system updates, troubleshooting, vendor management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) and CCTV systems, ensuring efficient operation.
  • Monitor system status, alarms, and uptime, with active intervention when issues arise.
  • Manage service desk tickets and collaborate with the Applications Support team during upgrades.
  • Coordinate system design and integration for new projects, managing vendor relationships to meet KPIs.
  • Configure access permissions for internal and external stakeholders, monitoring hardware lifecycles and contributing to asset replacement planning.
  • Lead camera view management in collaboration with operational stakeholders.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with enterprise-level servers, security software, and field hardware.
  • Hands-on knowledge of legacy and modern EACS and CCTV systems.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and aviation security principles.
  • Practical experience with CCTV analytics integration.
  • Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and vendor SLAs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to explain technical systems in simple terms.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work within complex project environments.
