Job Opportunity for Gynaecologists

The Royal Women's Hospital is seeking skilled gynaecologists with expertise in AGES level 6 laparoscopic surgery to fill various vacancies.

We offer a range of roles, including fixed term relieving cover and ongoing positions in Gynaecology 2 unit and Acute Gynaecology service.

  1. Gynaecology 2 outpatient clinics on Thursday morning and/or Monday afternoon (days/cycles to be discussed)
  2. Acute gynaecology duties during rostered daytime session, (days/roster negotiable to allow for other commitments)
  3. Gynaecology Surgical lists which will involve teaching/training of fellows, Junior Medical and Nursing staff (specific lists determined by available operating schedule and operative skill level)
  4. Regular rostered and ad hoc teaching of Junior Medical staff and medical students.
  5. Participation in active research projects as stipulated by the Unit head.
  6. Requirement to participate in the afterhours 'on call' roster for Emergency Gynaecology, the hours which will be proportional to the hours employed.

To be successful within this role you will need to possess:

  • Registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia or eligibility for registration
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • Level 5/6 AGES equivalent laparoscopic skills
