The SA Medical Imaging (SAMI) consultant radiologist and nuclear medicine specialist (dual trained) is responsible for delivering high-quality Medical Imaging services to SAMI patients. This role requires working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical and academic team to provide exceptional patient care, teaching, and research.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership to clinical staff and supervise the teaching of radiology trainees, other staff, and medical students.
- Support and participate in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient-centred care processes.
- Represent SAMI at campus meetings and liaise with clinicians regarding service provision.
- Take responsibility for at least one clinico-radiology / multidisciplinary meeting per week.
- Support and encourage team cooperation amongst staff to optimise the level and diagnostic accuracy of the service provided.
