Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Clerk to protect our company assets from internal and external theft. This role involves observing and reporting potential safety and security hazards, investigating and detaining suspects, completing reports, and cooperating with local law enforcement as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Walk the warehouse and perimeter to monitor safety and security concerns
  • Maintain knowledge of procedures and applicable laws related to loss prevention duties
  • Attend meetings and seminars regarding loss prevention strategies
  • Detect and investigate internal and external theft threats
  • Report potential internal theft situations to Warehouse Management
  • Participate in Shrink Committee initiatives
  • Deten and interview shoplifters when warranted
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for internal use and for potential prosecution
  • Maintain evidence and reports files collected from investigations
  • Testify in court concerning theft investigations
  • Communicate with area businesses to exchange information about current and local theft threats
  • Follow proper Member Service and general safety and security protocols
  • Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to members, employees, and vendors

Requirements:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Loss prevention, security, or comparable experience
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate
  • Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery (personal vehicle, computer, printer, card printer, phone, copier, credit/debit terminal, rubbish compactor, cardboard baler)
