About the Role

The Principal Sustainability Financial Reporting Specialist will play a key role in shaping BHP's sustainability-related financial reporting, ensuring compliance with enterprise sustainability agenda and strategy and financial governance framework. This role will focus on developing and implementing policies for financial reporting of sustainability matters and will support timely and accurate analysis to drive insight that enables internal and external customers to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies for financial reporting of sustainability matters
  • Support the delivery of integrated sustainability and financial reporting, both internal and external
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis to drive insight that enables internal and external customers to make informed decisions

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or similar degree
  • Financial or sustainability reporting and governance experience in a large global organization
  • Judgement and decision-making skills and an appreciation of strategic and business critical objectives
  • Experience building, managing, and sustaining strong working relationships with a range of internal customers as well as building trusting partnerships with external stakeholders

Location

This role can be based at our BHP Australia corporate office in Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide.
