Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workshop, ensuring that all work is executed as per approved quotes, controlling variations, and maintaining accurate records of profit and loss for each job. Additionally, they will be expected to identify opportunities to increase margins without compromising quality, develop strategies to improve efficiency, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.

About the Role

  • Manage Workshop: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficient use of resources, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Quote Preparation and Submission: Prepare and submit accurate quotes to clients, ensuring clear understanding of scope, timelines, and costs.
  • Variation Control: Identify and manage variations that arise from each job, submitting them to clients in a timely manner.
  • Profit and Loss Management: Maintain accurate records of profit and loss for each job, identifying opportunities to improve margins.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all maintenance and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Trade Qualification: Hold a relevant trade qualification in the mining and maintenance sector.
  • Management Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in management roles or senior maintenance positions.
  • Drivers License: Possess a valid Australian 'C Class' drivers license.
  • Equipment Experience: Significant post-trade experience working with heavy earthmoving equipment.
