Job Description

The role of Senior Estimator is pivotal in supporting cost assurance and estimating services across a diverse national portfolio, encompassing Transport, Water, Defence, and Buildings infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include leading first-principles reviews of contractor open-book cost estimates, validating methodology, risk & opportunity, and schedule against client requirements, negotiating cost adjustments, and providing recommendations for contractor awards.

  • Develop cost estimates across AACEI classifications (Class 5 to Class 2), utilizing both first-principles pricing and benchmarking.
  • Interpret specifications and standards to assess cost implications, preparing and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations as required.
  • Deliver high-quality tender handovers, including the development of Basis of Estimates documentation.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement of estimating practices and tools, collaborating with internal teams, client stakeholders, and delivery partners to confirm value assurance outcomes.
