Boilermaker Role Overview

PHE Mining is seeking a highly motivated boilermaker to join our team on a fixed term project contract basis.

This role will be based in central west New South Wales on a 2 & 1 roster, 12-hour days.

The successful candidate will work closely with electrical construction teams to fabricate and assemble structural solutions for the electrical and instrumentation installation of an underground hard rock mine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with electrical construction teams to fabricate and assemble structural solutions for the electrical and instrumentation installations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and develop simple mark ups.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality in a mining/heavy industrial environment.
Requirements
  • Australian recognised trade qualification – Boilermaker (fabrication).
  • Excellent attitude to safety.
  • 5 years' experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop simple mark ups.
  • Hold a current C Class Australian driver's license.
  • Current Working at Heights certificate.
  • EWP (Over 11 metres).
  • White construction card.
  • Previous experience working in/with electrical teams will be an advantage but not essential.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment checks.
