Senior Corporate Tax Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our tax advisory group, you will provide expert tax advice and compliance services to clients across various industries.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Australian corporate income tax, with a proven track record of providing tax advisory and compliance services within large corporate environments or Big 4 firms.

  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in Australian corporate income tax
  • Proven experience advising on M&A transactions, due diligence, contract negotiations, and complex income tax issues
  • Holds a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Law, with relevant professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA or equivalent)

About the Role:

You will manage tax structuring and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, divestments, and corporate restructures. You will assist with tax compliance deliverables, including income tax returns, PAYG instalments, and R&D tax incentive claims. Additionally, you will support tax effect accounting processes for financial reporting, including deferred tax and provisioning.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients
  2. Manage tax structuring and due diligence for M&A transactions
  3. Assist with tax compliance deliverables, including income tax returns and PAYG instalments
  4. Support tax effect accounting processes for financial reporting
