Job Summary

CertisciscP2 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing asset protection and ensuring the safety of all stakeholders on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arming and Disarming Alarm Systems
  • Assist in the installation and removal of equipment to facilitate the movement of stakeholders in and out of the premises
  • Conduct regular foot patrols of the assets to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Investigate and take appropriate action on all complaints received from stakeholders
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace
  • Maintain the onsite Key Register to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Maintain and control relevant equipment, such as keys and swipe cards
  • Monitor the CCTV system to ensure real-time surveillance and incident response
  • Monitor, control, and maintain Access Control equipment to ensure secure access to the site
  • Oversee and assist customers with observations of site WH&S procedures to ensure compliance and safety
  • Perform inductions to ensure continued WH&S of site
  • Perform unlock and lock up of access points within the site to ensure secure access
  • Professional liaison with State Police, Emergency Services, and all stakeholders to ensure effective communication and incident response
  • Provide Concierge duties to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Provide Customer Service to all stakeholders to ensure a positive and safe experience
  • Reporting incidents and breaches of Security immediately to ensure prompt response and resolution
  • Use the site's email system to communicate with stakeholders and management

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess current First Aid certification
  • Hold a valid New South Wales Class 1 AC Security License
  • Be prepared to work AM/PM shift work rosters with varying hours of attendance, including weekend work
  • Be physically fit, well-presented, and groomed with a pleasant disposition
  • Have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Able to work well and remain calm under pressure
  • Have effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate a strong customer focus and ability to live our values
  • Good understanding and experience in WHS and emergency response management procedures
  • Strong experience in conflict resolution
  • Good report writing skills
  • Be capable of learning new skills quickly
  • Exceptional Customer service skills
  • Being flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to compile precise and professional reports

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current State Security License
  • Own transport
  • Extensive Security knowledge and understanding of Security issues
  • Able to pass pre-employment alcohol and drug testing
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical/fitness examination
