About the Role
The Security Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that security obligations are effectively implemented to enable the successful delivery of strategic and operational plans for information technology.
The primary purpose of this position is to establish an audit framework that supports 2nd line audit review procedures and governance standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing an audit framework in support of 2nd line audit and review procedures;
- Managing a team of direct reports to oversee assurance activities;
- Collaborating with the Assurance division in alignment with their framework and procedures to ensure consistency;
- Preparing formal findings reports and briefings to communicate progress, exceptions and recommendations;
- Evaluating and developing assurance reviews in support of new programs and evolving solutions;
This role requires a proven ability to select and implement appropriate frameworks and develop processes and procedures to support a comprehensive audit program.
The ideal candidate will have leadership experience overseeing a team responsible for assurance and reporting, as well as experience establishing processes and capability to periodically systematically monitor assurance in alignment with information security standards.
They will also have experience providing audit reports to stakeholders on findings and progress of assurance reviews to steering committees and senior management.
