Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Information Security Specialist to join our Defence Cyber Capability and Engineering team. In this role, you will work as part of the security engineering team that focuses on the development, deployment, and management of ICT security capabilities.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leveraging your broad knowledge in Information, Engineering, and Cyber Security domains to shape security controls within solution designs;
- Collaborating with your team to identify, communicate, and help treat corresponding security risks;
- Enhancing, implementing, and administering IT solutions using Linux administration and security technologies; and
- Communicating with customers/users, and product vendors.
You will have exposure to a vast array of security technologies widely used within large enterprise environments and opportunities to develop skills involving networking, automation toolsets, containerisation, DevSecOps, troubleshooting, security hardening, vulnerability management, and more.
To hit the ground running, we are looking for individuals who can confidently demonstrate a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance, experience of technical university qualifications relevant to the role, or evidence of at least three years of relevant recent experience.
