Job Overview

This is a full-time role within the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Privacy Advice to internal stakeholders on various privacy issues.
  • Evaluate compliance with the NSW Privacy Regime and ensure ongoing adherence.
  • Manage Privacy Complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead Privacy Impact Assessments on multiple projects, systems, and suppliers.
  • Contribute to Policy Development and implementation of the DPHI Privacy Uplift Program.
  • Deliver Training Sessions to promote a 'privacy by design' culture within the organisation.
  • Support Statutory Reporting functions and represent the department in external reviews.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working in an environment requiring interpretation and advice on legislation.
  • Expert Knowledge of NSW Privacy Framework, including the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records Information Privacy Act 2002.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to deliver training and communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Proven Analytical Skills, with the capacity to analyse complex privacy issues and provide clear, actionable advice.
