Job Title:

Tax Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Tax Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in tax compliance and advisory for all tax matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in taxation, accounting and Microsoft Office Suite, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for the NEC tax consolidated group and its controlled entities
  • Assist in the preparation of income tax forecasts and provisions, with maintenance of the tax fixed assets register
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS
  • Assist in the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and with other employment related taxation obligations such as payroll tax and superannuation guarantee matters
  • Liaise with the ATO and assisting in maintaining the income tax consolidated and GST groups and other tax/revenue related registrations
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team with a view to consistently improving tax processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in taxation or accounting are essential
  • CA or CPA qualifications commenced or about to commence is desirable
  • Exposure to any Big 4 or chartered accounting firm and/or corporate environment is highly desirable
  • Advanced skills in Word and Excel
  • Skills in Microsoft D365 and in tax software such as Tax Automate are desirable but not essential
