Part-Time Cleaning Role

This is a role at a reputable school, one of the top institutions in the country.

We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent basis, working 15 hours per week during term time plus some hours in the holiday periods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to the highest possible standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices, stairs, corridors, cloakrooms and toilets.
  • Emptying waste bins, ensuring that recycling is separated
  • Using equipment as directed, with training provided as needed
  • Reporting damage and vandalism to management
  • Ensuring compliance with the institution's Health, Safety and Welfare policy

Holiday periods involve additional duties such as:

  • Deep cleaning of classrooms and other less frequently used areas
  • Assisting with post-maintenance cleaning
  • Cleaning areas used by hirers

Terms and conditions of employment include:

  • Term time: Mondays to Sundays, according to a rota, for 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week (mornings, afternoons and evenings available)
  • Holiday periods: 150 hours to be worked as required

The annual salary includes statutory holiday pay, paid monthly in arrears by bank transfer, and reviewed annually in April.
