Overview

Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities for students from across Queensland. This temporary part-time position (0.26 FTE), 20 hours per fortnight, includes a regular Friday shift with flexibility around the remaining hours.

Maroon Outdoor Education Centre is a unique learning facility located by Maroon Dam. We provide outdoor, adventure-based programs that support personal development, teamwork, and resilience for students from across Queensland. With a strong focus on experiential learning, we offer a supportive and inspiring environment where students grow through challenge and connection to nature.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain classrooms, accommodation, dining areas, and amenities
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Work independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Disposal of rubbish and litter control, including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings

What you bring
  • Cleaning experience (commercial, school, or hospitality)
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and Work Health and Safety requirements
